Kelly Named No. 1 Company for Hybrid Jobs in 2022

Company tops FlexJobs’ inaugural list of 100 employers embracing hybrid work

TROY, Mich. (Sept. 21, 2022) – Kelly has been named the No. 1 employer on FlexJobs’ inaugural list of the Top 100 Companies for Hybrid Jobs in 2022. The ranking is based on an analysis of 57,000 companies and their hybrid job posting histories in the FlexJobs database between Sept. 1, 2021 and Aug. 31, 2022. During this timeframe, Kelly posted the most hybrid jobs, which are defined as professional-level jobs that consists of some remote and some in-office work.

“We are proud to be recognized as a leading employer who embraces flexible work and offers employment opportunities for all job types – fully remote, on-site, and hybrid,” Kelly Chief People Officer Amy Bouque said. “Internally, we have offered hybrid work options since 2016 and expanded the program during the pandemic. In our experience, hybrid work contributes to a culture that respects individual work styles, fosters inclusion, and enhances productivity.”

Six years ago, Kelly introduced its popular Kelly Anywhere program to provide full-time employees with the option to work from home part-time and personalize their life-work design. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kelly transitioned to a fully remote work environment. Today, most corporate employees have the option to work from home full-time or part-time. In addition, Kelly has offered at-home call center jobs since 2010 and employs more than 6,000 remote agents in its contact center outsourcing business, KellyConnect®.

Kelly’s support of flexible work options has also earned the company a recognition on FlexJobs’ list of the Top 100 Companies for Remote Jobs for the past nine years. The workforce solutions provider is one of only eight employers to have been recognized every year since 2014 and has appeared in the top 10 of companies four years in a row.

According to FlexJobs’ Career Pulse 2022 Survey, nearly a third (32%) of respondents say hybrid is their ideal work arrangement, with 65% preferring to work from home full-time. In that same survey, 84% said having a remote or hybrid job makes or would make them a happier person.

“We have definitely seen a tipping point towards a deeper and more permanent integration of remote and hybrid work into organizations,” said Sara Sutton, founder and CEO of FlexJobs. “While it can vary greatly by employer and industry, many companies are successfully adopting hybrid workplaces for the long-term, as this list of leading companies demonstrates. When carried out correctly, hybrid workplaces can be a win for both employers and professionals, and we expect that hybrid working will become the workplace norm moving forward.”

FlexJobs saw a 52% increase in the number of hybrid job postings between Sept. 1, 2021 and Aug. 31, 2022, compared to the previous year. Hybrid jobs in accounting and finance grew substantially throughout 2022, with the category now displacing computer/IT as the number one career for hybrid jobs. The HR and recruiting category also experienced serious growth, while hybrid jobs in education dropped.

While a wide variety of jobs can be in a hybrid arrangement, some of the most popular hybrid job titles with job seekers include accountant, recruiter, executive assistant, accounts payable specialist, project manager, and marketing manager.

Over half (57%) of hybrid postings are for experienced-level positions. Manager-level roles account for about one fifth (22%) of hybrid postings. Fourteen percent are for senior director-level jobs and the remaining 7% focus on entry-level roles, according to FlexJobs.
